The Dalaman Akkoprü Dam Project, located in the south western part of the country, is the fifth largest projects in Turkey and is under construction by Caterpillar customer NTF Insaat Ticaret Ltd. Sti. of Ankara, Turkey.
NTF worked with Cat dealer Borusan Makina in Turkey and Terriotory Manager Fritz Jud to acquire the machines and financing to build the dam.
When completed, this earth filled embankment dam will protect the Seka Dalamanpaper factory, Dalaman Airport and several tourist resorts from floods, while providing the entire region with cubic meters of water and its two units will produce 115 megawatts of energy each.
