Romania – Rovinari, 2003-2004
- Negotiated privatization of Rovinari Energy Complex developed by Çalık Enerji.
- 1200 MW Rovinari Power Plant
- Tismana I-II, Rovinari, Garla and Piniosa Coal Mines
- NTF performed due diligence and feasibility for the coal mines with the prospect of becoming the coal operator in case of conclusion of the project.
- Power plant due diligence and feasibility was performed by EDF.
- Negotiations between Çalık Enerji and government of Romania could not be completed.
Çankırı - Orta, Yaylakent, 2005
- Turkish Coal Enterprises (TKİ) tender for the sale of mine which has enough reserve for 170MW Plant.
- Project Company Çalık (90%) – NTF (10%) won the tender and paid $20 million.
- NTF performed all the engineering and feasibility studies which were used as the basis for the bid and the final feasibility by Vattenfall (Germany) and Pöyry (Finland)
- EPC contract for the power plant is at the tender stage.
- NTF is the prospective mine operator upon completion of the plant.
Bursa – Keles, 2006
- Turkish Coal Enterprises (TKİ) tender for the royalty rights of mine which has enough reserve for 135 MW Plant.
- Project Company Çalık–NTF won the tender.
- NTF performed all the engineering and feasibility studies.
- The project has been suspended until resolution of some environmental issues.

- A Greenfield mine owned by EnerjiSA with enough reserve for 450 MW Power Plant.
- NTF performed investigation drillings, preliminary hydrogeological studies, detailed planning, prepared an extensive method statement and made a bid for the operation for a period of 3+30 years.
- Contract negotiations are ongoing.
